“My company is very supportive of continuing education, and our RPM is very involved in the AAKC and encourages our team to be involved as well. In the past year, I have earned my NALP and CAM through the AAKC and joined the Government Affairs committee. I have learned so much that I have been able to apply on the job, and I have become more helpful and valuable to my team because of it.
Debbie and Phoebe are both very passionate about helping their members' grow in their careers, and they will always find an answer or resolve any issue promptly. Being a member of the AAKC is a very personal and rewarding experience, and I am so honored to be a part of it!”

“I got started in this industry in 2011 as a leasing professional in the downtown market. I got my NALP credential almost immediately. I then became the Leasing Manager a year later, which I loved! I started as an NALP instructor the following year. I moved into the Northland area as the Assistant Business Manager and held that position for over 5 years. I now hold my CAPS and LEAD credentials, and am enrolled to get my CAPS credential this spring. Education is very important to me, and I am a passionate instructor as well. This industry has me hooked!! The AAKC has been a huge tool in my success, and I am forever grateful!”

“Debbie,
Thank you, and thank you again to you and your committee for providing such an incredible experience this afternoon. I was looking forward to this luncheon and all of the information that I could use this year to map a plan on how to navigate my business as an apartment locator. The chosen panel of experts exceeded all of my expectations and more.....
The questions Jessica asked were on spot and the expertise, PRICELESS!!
Your panel of experts touched on topics I was aware, but, the knowledge and research that dug in deeper to our rental market was enlightening for 2019 and the future.
Please, plan on doing this informative luncheon again next year.
I am proud to be a member of AAKC.”

“"My company has been a member of AAKC for around 10 years now and we have seen our business grow is so many ways. The first couple of years I/we were not involved like we should and we did see some results but nothing like we have now. As I started getting more involved, getting to know everyone we all have become family. No the business was not just handed to me, but opportunity came as we built the relationships. As the relationships grow, as have the business opportunities, we have landed the contracts from small to large. Without AAKC Brummel Lawn and Landscape LLC would not be where it is today. Personally, I would not be where I am today with AAKC, from doing the CAM program to LEAD to Lyceum. I have learned so much, grown as a person and as a busmess owner. I have laughed and cried with some of these experiences. The coolest part is that as my business has grown I have been able to do more. I'm not just an owner/operator but have taken my company to employ over 60 people. Yes it has been a lot of work but AAKC has helped us get there. I could go on and on with stories upon stories but just know AAKC and Debbie are amazing and I can't say enough great things about them and thank them enough for the places we have gone and are going!"”
-Nick Brummel, Brummel Lawn and Landscape LLC
“We have been involved in several different organizations over the years that have been good to us, but the AAKC is above and beyond. Not only does the AAKC do such an amazing job to involve the Property and Management members in educational seminars and fun events, they also provide a lot of opportunities for the Supplier Partners to get involved in committees and other events. As a Supplier Partner in the AAKC, it has been by far the best experience I've had in any type of organization. While we've been fortunate enough to be able to work together with some of the members of the AAKC, I've also had the pleasure of making some lifelong friendships that far exceeds any measurable ROI. But, all of that has come from the involvement with the organization and building those long-term relationships. We are very lucky to have found an organization that is as caring and supportive as the Apartment Association of Kansas City.”
-Keith Alexander, Jayhawk Fire Sprinkler
“The AAKC cares about the professional development of members, and provides relevant educational seminars and training classes year-round. The AAKC hosts a variety of unique and exciting networking events empowering members with partnerships and resources needed to succeed in our evolving industry. I’m a proud member of the AAKC and I’m grateful to not only serve on committees with my peers, but to give back to the community through the numerous outreaching opportunities the AAKC offers.”
-Nicole Circello, Community Manager, The Creeks of Gladstone | Whispering Creek | Stone Creek
“AAKC has been the most rewarding, inspiring and genuine organization I have personally ever belonged to. They embraced LIXO as if they had known us for years, we felt loved. The AAKC family has been truly helpful and supportive of our efforts. We now belong to committees such has the Beer & Wine, and Tradeshow. We volunteer for events and make sure we support the apartment communities as a whole. Being a part of AAKC is more than just a membership, it’s a family. They truly want all businesses, apartment communities and residents to have the best experience possible. I recommend anyone who is wanting to work, play or live in an apartment community to research and join AAKC, they are the real deal! ”
